When I moved to East Dallas 25 years ago, we had a strong, independent voice on the Dallas City Council. We need that voice back at City Council! As a longtime resident and advocate for our community, I have served alongside our city's leaders and have brought the community perspective to City Hall and Dallas ISD by putting the needs of our residents above special interests.
From firsthand experience, I know how City Hall and Dallas ISD work—I know how to build consensus around differing personalities and perspectives to get things done for our neighborhoods and community. District 9 needs representation that can hit the ground running and I will do just that.
Dallas is our home—it's where we've raised 3 children, and where we have shown them the importance of serving your community. I am a proud parent of two kids at Woodrow Wilson and have been blessed to have a career in public service. It would be an honor serving our community as your District 9 Councilmember, and I hope you will support me during the June 8 Runoff Election.
I look forward to visiting with you soon!
